Repair of scale explosion damage of glass lined reactor

There are two main cases of large-scale explosion damage of glass lined reactor equipment in use. First, introduce acid solution (PH less than 6.0) into the jacket of glass lined reactor, or encounter residual acid solution on the reverse side of enamel (metal wall). In particular, some factories use waste water for cooling. The water used is acidic and not completely neutralized. Hydrogen is generated on its surface, that is, new hydrogen atoms. This hydrogen atom passes through the lattice inside the metal structure microscopically, reaches the interface between the porcelain layer and the steel plate on the opposite side, and then stays here. When a certain amount of pressure is accumulated, a strong driving force is formed on the side of the porcelain surface, causing the scale explosion of the porcelain layer. Second, the cooling water or steam in the jacket of the glass lined reactor corrodes the steel, that is, the corroded steel (micro battery effect) will also produce primary hydrogen (hydrogen atom), causing scale explosion, especially when the glass lined equipment is stopped for a period of time after use, the corrosion is more serious. So what should we pay attention to the scale explosion damage of the reactor.

1. Temperature difference: under the same pH, when the temperature rises by 30 ℃, the corrosion rate will increase twice. The large temperature difference of glass lined container shell will accelerate the corrosion rate. The more serious the corrosion is, the easier the scale explosion will occur.

2. Cooling water: glass lined reactor, etc. Cooling water for glass lined equipment includes internal circulating water, groundwater, deep well water, tap water, seawater, etc. Attention should be paid to the fact that acid and salt impurities will seriously rust the steel. It is suggested that users and friends who use glass lined reactor equipment can try to add a certain amount of corrosion inhibitor in the cooling water, adjust the PH value of the water, and the corrosion of the small kitchen cooling water on the jacket steel. The types of corrosion inhibitors include ammonia or other volatile basic amines, such as morpholine, cyclohexylamine and piperidine.

3. Environmental corrosion: due to the improper manufacturing quality and sealing materials of other glass lined equipment manufacturers, the glass lined equipment of glass lined reactor is not sealed, and the equipment leaks seriously, making the production environment full of corrosive gases. The gas between steel and porcelain corrodes from outside to inside, and the porcelain layer peels off from outside to inside, leading to equipment failure.
