The Key Points of Repairing the Damaged Glass lined Reactor with Acid resistant Mastic

The repair of the glass lined reactor is a meticulous and demanding work. Only by carefully analyzing and studying the causes of surface damage according to the operating conditions of the equipment, formulating a reasonable repair plan, and strictly controlling the technical indicators and operation methods of each link of the repair, can the high-quality, rapid and economic repair be carried out and a satisfactory effect be achieved.

The method of preparing acid resistant cement and pasting acid resistant porcelain plate to repair glass lined equipment is simple and easy, safe in construction, easy to purchase raw materials, low in price and low in investment cost. Especially for the repair of large area of lining sheet in glass lined reactor, the effect is more significant. Our company also used the same method to repair and transform the dryer trough with serious corrosion problems, which also achieved ideal results and saved maintenance costs. This method has reference and promotion value for many aspects of anti-corrosion construction. So, what are the key points to pay attention to when using this method for repair work? 1. Clean up the dust and falling objects on the damaged part, wash with water, then acidize with 20% hydrochloric acid for 2-3 times, and then wipe it dry.

2. Acid resistant mastic shall be prepared in proportion. Water glass shall not be added randomly during operation. It shall be prepared on the spot. Each mixing amount shall be used up before initial setting.

3. The bottom layer of the damaged part shall be coated with acid resistant cement first, then lined with acid resistant porcelain plate (or tied with glass cloth), and finally cemented and covered with acid resistant cement. When pasting acid resistant porcelain plates, the gaps between the acid resistant porcelain plates must be filled and smoothed with acid resistant cement.

4. When the liner is basically dry, about 20% of the acid is used for 4-5 times of acidification treatment to decompose the sodium fluorosilicate not participating in the reaction into silicic acid gel. The acidification treatment is required to be uniform. There are white precipitates after drying. The white precipitates must be removed during the next acidification, and the interval of each acidification is about 10h.

5. The construction temperature is 15-30 ℃, and it is waterproof and sun proof. It is cured in a dry environment for one week.
