Inspection and solution of noise in enamel reactor

In the actual application process of enamel reactor (glass lined reactor), attention should be paid to regular maintenance and overhaul, which plays a vital role in improving safety and extending its service life. Here, suggestions on how to check and solve the noise in the use process of enamel reactor are put forward as follows:

1. First of all, it should be clear where the noise of the enamel reactor will appear, which generally occurs in two places: one is the transmission device outside the reactor, namely the motor, reducer, seal, etc., and the other is the accessories inside the reactor, namely the agitator, thermowell, baffle, etc.

2. Noise outside the kettle: this is a good judgment. Judge whether it is the motor, reducer or the seal according to the place where the noise is emitted. If it is the motor, reducer, check whether there is a lack of oil or a problem with the bearing; If the seal is a single seal, there may be problems with the static ring or the dynamic ring. If the seal is a double seal, pay attention to the lubrication of the balance tank, pressure gauge and other parts, and whether there are problems with the water circulation device of the water jacket, and whether the bolts or clips at the motor, reducer, seal and other parts are loose. If they are loose, they will also cause noise. After a clear judgment, solve the problem, It is relatively simple.

3. Noise in the kettle: the radial or axial runout of the agitator increases, causing noise due to friction or collision with the thermowell or baffle, which may be caused by: (1) the agitator itself has quality problems, such as insufficient straightness, insufficient pipe wall thickness, unqualified coupling, etc; (2) The use time is too long, and the agitator is deformed to a certain extent due to high temperature and other reasons; (3) The connection part with the mechanical seal and reducer coupling is loose, causing the agitator to loose. Once these conditions occur, the radial or axial runout of the agitator will increase. In addition to the noise during rotation, it may also rub or collide with the thermowell and baffle device, causing noise. The occurrence of noise in the kettle has a certain degree of concealment. It should be found in time to avoid irreversible loss caused by enamel damage due to long-term friction or collision. Solution: (1) If the mixing is unqualified, replace it. If it is too late to replace it, reduce the radial or axial runout of the mixer by tightening the bolts at each part. If such a problem occurs to the qualified mixer, it should also be solved by tightening the bolts at each part; (2) If the mixing is loose, it shall be solved by fastening the coupling between the mixing and the reducer; (3) The increase of the radial or axial runout of the agitator may cause damage to the mechanical seal, such as the dynamic ring and static ring. Therefore, check whether the seal is damaged during the adjustment process. If it is damaged, replace the damaged parts or replace the seal. In addition, if there is no problem with the agitator, the glass lined thermowell or baffle device may also cause friction or collision with the agitator if it is loose. It must be carefully checked to determine and solve the problem. If there is an internal coil in the kettle, pay more attention to check to see if the internal coil rubs or collides with these accessories, and then solve the problem by fastening screws or clips.

4. In case of any noise in the enamel reactor, timely check the parts where the noise occurs and solve it according to the specific situation to avoid irreparable loss caused by the accumulation of small parts, especially the damage of the enamel surface.
