     Compared with the tower reactor, the DIH of the kettle reactor is larger. Sometimes, relying solely on the common jacket outside the kettle for heat exchange is limited, and the larger the kettle diameter, the smaller the heat exchange area per unit kettle volume. However, the reaction material is constantly increasing, which will bring difficulties to the scaling up work. Considering the heat exchange area, the amplification effect cannot be ignored. For this reason, the following measures are adopted in industry to make up for its shortcomings:

    (1) In addition to the jacket, the heat exchange inside the reactor can also be equipped with spiral tubes;

    (2) The heat exchange outside the kettle depends on different situations. A pump can be added to the kettle to circulate the liquid for heat exchange outside the kettle; When low boiling solvents are present during the reaction process (such as polymerization reactions), a condenser should be installed outside the reactor to reflux the solvent and control a certain reaction temperature.
