The glass lined reactor is used for reaction and mixing of various materials, so cleaning should be carried out after each use to ensure that it can be used normally next time. If the cleaning is not in place, it will affect the effect of next use. How to detect whether the equipment cleaning meets the standard?

1. In the cleaning verification, it is necessary to sample and detect the residual substances after cleaning the glass lined reactor, and determine the sampling position. The principle of determining the sampling position is that the difficult to clean parts on the reactor are taken as the sampling points to ensure that the sampling is carried out on the poor parts after the reactor is cleaned.

2. The sampling methods of residue samples include rinsing water sampling and wiping sampling, which are respectively applicable to the sampling of different glass lined reactors. The specific requirements are as follows:

(1) Leaching water sampling: it is a large-area sampling method, which has the advantage of large sampling surface and can also sample the reaction kettle that is inconvenient to be disassembled or should not be disassembled frequently. Therefore, it is suitable for wiping the surface that is not easy to be touched by sampling, especially for the liquid and slurry production reactor with flat surface and many and long pipes.

(2) The advantage of wiping sampling is that it can directly sample the parts that are difficult to clean, and evaluate the cleaning status of the whole production reactor by investigating the residue level of representative parts that are difficult to clean. By selecting appropriate wiping solvent, wiping tools and wiping methods, substances that are not dissolved in the cleaning process and have “dried” on the surface of glass lined reactor or with low solubility can be wiped down, which can effectively make up for the shortcomings of leaching sampling.

3. Regardless of the sampling method, when sampling residues and microbial residues, take microbial residue samples first and then residue samples, so as to prevent the samples from being polluted when taking microbial samples later.

4. The sampling method shall be verified to prove its applicability. The verification of sampling method is actually the selection of solvent or swab, the operation of sampling personnel, the transfer of residue to solvent or swab, and the investigation of sample dissolution (extraction) process.

5. Sampling in the reactor cleaning verification shall be carried out after each leaching of the reactor to determine the leaching times of the reactor. However, during each rinsing, if the residue test is unqualified, repeat sampling cannot be carried out until the test is qualified, which indicates that the rinsing times are not enough.
