Porcelain layer thickness standard of glass lined reactor

When buying a glass lined reactor, there is a misunderstanding about the thickness of the enamel of thereactor. Many people think that the thicker the enamel equipment, the better, but the fact is not the case.

The  glass standard stipulates that the thickness of the porcelain layer of the glass lined reactor is 0.8mm~2mm, which refers to the thickness of the porcelain layer finally formed by the equipment. According to the special requirements of the designer, the thickness of the porcelain layer of the product is controllable. In particular, the surface quality of the steel plate is continuously improved, and the repeated repair of the local blasting has been rare.

For glass lined reactors, the thinner the porcelain layer, the better. When the porcelain layer is thinned, the brittleness of the porcelain layer itself is reduced and the arbitrariness is increased, and the heat resistance is reduced not only during heat transfer but also the temperature difference impact resistance is also improved. Therefore, the majority of enamel reactor user friends when buying enamel equipment, the porcelain layer is thinner than thick. However, for the enamel reactor porcelain layer thinning, the final can not be less than 0.8mm. The standard setting porcelain layer thickness is 0.8mm, which means: after 20KV high-voltage electric spark inspection, the theoretical depth of the porcelain layer is 0.4mm, and the remaining 0.4mm thickness porcelain layer is resistant to corrosion in general medium.
